Dennis Jay is a singer/songwriter from La Vernia, TX. He has appeared on the same bill with Tex Rubinowitz, Steve Earle, Nokie Edwards (Ventures), Joe Ely, Railroad Earth, Tiff Merrit, Dale Watson.
Grammy winning producer Lloyd Maines (The Chicks) has produced 2 albums and an EP with Dennis.One of the songs(A Cowboy Tune) from their first album together WESTERN & COUNTRY was given the Will Rogers Award from the Academy Of Western Artists in 2018. All three recordings are available as CDs. The EP, BLUEBONNET DAYS IN TEXAS, is also available in limited edition vinyl. The current release COWBOY RHYTHM features Lloyd Maines on steel guitar, electric & acoustic guitars, and bass. Dennis Ludiker (Asleep At The Wheel) plays fiddle and mandolin. COWBOY RHYTHM made the top 10 on the Airplay Direct and Roots Music Report charts. It charted at #72 on the Americana Music Association chart.
