Damn Tall Buildings is a Brooklyn-based folk and bluegrass trio known for soulful melodies, rich vocal harmonies, and inventive string arrangements. The band—Max Capistran, Sasha Dubyk, and Avery Ballotta—has spent more than a decade touring and recording, developing a sound that blends traditional acoustic roots with thoughtful songwriting and expressive musicianship. Originally honing their craft through busking, the trio brings a lively stage presence while drawing on influences from old-time, blues, jazz, and folk. With fiddle, guitar, and bass at the center of their sound, their performances feature intricate instrumental interplay and narrative-driven storytelling.
