Business Spotlight: Apex Performance
Category: Blog
Bringing a fresh, performance-driven approach to physical therapy, Apex Performance Therapy is helping Pike District residents move better, recover faster, and get back to doing what they love. Founded in 2021, the North Bethesda-based clinic blends advanced rehabilitation techniques with strength and performance training serving everyone from competitive athletes to everyday individuals looking to live pain-free.

Founder Edwin Joyner, a Silver Spring native and Montgomery Blair High School graduate, returned to the community after earning his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Howard University with a clear goal: give back to the place that shaped him. After building strong relationships throughout Rockville and Bethesda, North Bethesda was a natural fit to grow Apex and continue serving the community he knows best.
“Our goal is to efficiently and effectively guide each person back to action stronger, more confident and better prepared for whatever activities matter most to them,” Joyner said.
Today, Apex is powered by a small but growing team known for its positive energy, flexible approach, and commitment to personalized care. Apex offers cutting-edge, evidence-based treatments like red light therapy cupping, compression therapy, manual therapy and dry needling, with a focus on real-world performance.
At its core, Apex Performance Therapy is about connection, community, and helping people move through life without limits.
