🚨The Pike District is partnering with Girls on the Run of Montgomery County 🚨 Yes, you read that right! We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Girls on the Run for the 2023 Pike’s Peek 10k on April 23.

Girls on the Run is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to “inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running.” Girls on the Run tailors programming to girls of various ages, ranging from 3rd to 5th grade. Throughout each season, girls learn skills that enable them build confidence, explore their emotions and health, overcome adversity, and ultimately run a 5k!

"In today’s unpredictable world, the strategies learned at Girls on the Run are more important than ever. Participants gain critical life skills that strengthen their potential at a time when societal pressures and conflicting messages about how to feel and act can cause doubt and uncertainty."

- Amalia Lopez, Deputy Director of Girls on the Run of Montgomery County
